Shum Wai Leng,
Melissa (Éò»ÛÁä, Shen HuiLing)
Personally an enthusiast of languages, Wai
Leng is a dedicated language student herself. She is
fluent in Mandarin, English, and Malay, German, Japanese
and Malaysian sign language.
Her academic qualification includes graduate of the
Teachers¡¯ Training Course ¨C Basic Level, Shanghai Jiao
Tong University-Global Hanyu Center, Malaysia, a Bachelor
Degree (Honors) in Computing (Multimedia) from the University
of Staffordshire, United Kingdom and holder of Sijil
Pelajaran Malaysia, Chong Hwa High School, Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia.
Professionally Wai Leng has been serving as
a Mandarin (Hanyu) teacher at GHCC and also a part time
swimming instructor. Among some of the award and leadership
roles she has assumed includes representative for Malaysia
at the Malaysian Chinese Youth Exchange to Taiwan ROC,
organized by MCYC Malaysia, 2004, Global Friendship
School, hosted by Higashi Iruma JC, Japan and co-organized
by JC Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, 1996 and holder of Bronze
Medallion and International Life Saving Certification,
2006

Chang XinPing,
Michael (³©ÐÂÆ½, Chang Xinping)
Citizen of The People¡¯s Republic of China
Chang graduated from Henan College of Education, a professional
teachers; training college in one of China¡¯s cradle
of culture and scholarship. Chang majored in Business
English at HMC Language Institute, which is a twinning
program between Henan College of Education and Marshall
University in USA with an associate degree course.
He was conferred Best Student, Best Activity Organizer
of Henan College of Education. His outstanding curriculum
and co-curriculum performance won him the Best Graduate
of Henan Province. Chang went through GHCC¡¯s rigorous
teachers training program in Malaysia.
Chang has rich experience in teaching, having worked
as Head of Demo Teachers in Zhengzhou Ladder English
Company (a leading Taiwanese English Language Teaching
institute) and served as Mandarin teacher in a Japanese-owned
company in China. Chang¡¯s approach in teaching is student-centered;
he is especially attentive to getting the students to
build basic foundation for the language. His lively
personality and sunny disposition make him of the favorite
teachers at GHCC. |

Thien Voon
Kwan (µËÎľý, Deng Wenjun)
Deng Wen Jun, graduated from University of Malaya, with
a Bachelor Degree in Pure Science, major in Physics.
She had been working for 5 years as SQE cum QA Engineer
in Japanese electronic company. During this period,
she had been trained to be a Six Sigma black belt grade
in Statistics.
With a keen interest in Chinese culture and teaching
Mandarin (Hanyu), she gave up the career resolutely
and decided to pursue the teaching of Mandarin (Hanyu)
as her lifelong profession. She had joined the Global
Hanyu & Culture center in June, 2006 and had gone
through the training of Teaching Mandarin (Hanyu) to
Foreigners as a Second Language by professors from Shanghai
Jiatong University. She is now working as full time
Mandarin (Hanyu) teacher in the center.
She has deep affections for traveling, and will travel
as a backpacker to different countries every year. She
had been to China, Egypt, Cambodia, Spain, France, and
ever sojourned in UK for a year. During traveling, she
likes to do long distance trekking, always challenging
her self-limit and is keen on exploring different cultures. |
