Students graduating from this program also have to attain a minimum
requirement on English for Communication. We believe that the students’
value in the world will be greatly enhanced if they possess strong
communicative skill in the English Language so they can tell the China
story better. This program will cover the essential know-how’s
of Communication in English. |

The New China born out of the Reform that started in 1978 is a completely
new world. How the policy direction changed China from a command economy
to one of the market economy with Chinese characteristics; the urbanization
of China that has transformed many of the famous Chinese cities; as
well as bringing second and third tier cities into the metropolitan
areas. Made in China and its exports to the world; the implications
for the global economy, the rising Chinese consumer and how they are
driving a global boom in natural resources and rising prices in energy
and raw materials. China’s ecological and environmental issues.
What is happening to Chinese society; the rise of the mobile phone
and the Internet, the one child family and China’s aging population.
What about rural China and the 800 million farmers. These issues will
be discussed in this segment. |
